Then, *headdesk*.
Argh... and it was not helping that the formatting went weird on me, so the pictures did not want to cooperate with the captions, and I was busy sending *deathglares* at the comp screen, but it didn't do anything to help.
What else, Mum was complaining that I was holding her up, that if I want to go out to the Food Festival, I should hurry up and shut off the computer. I was doing work on the computer, and even when I go to the Food Festival, it's still for the purpose of my Social Studies SIA. Sounds kinda miserable, right?
Ahh... but then the bad mood got destroyed by all the good food.
Good Food like those you find in Singapore is the perfect weapon for driving evil/nasty/bad/grumpy/self-pitying/depressed/frustrated moods away. Of course, the area was absolutely swarming with people. You'd get an idea when you step out of the MRT train at Bugis Station and see that half the number of people on the train had followed you out as well. >_>

Yup.. that was how it looked like from the second storey. Where the food is, the people go. That's the best description of average Singaporeans.
I actually saved my stomach for this homework-cum-personal enjoyment trip, so I ate a bowl of Laksa and a cup of sweet corn with butter *drooldrooldrool* at like, 5pm in the afternoon, while sticking my borrowed camera everywhere just to catch good shots of the food and food stalls. Lol, that was my lunch.
Less than an hour later, we proceeded to Glutton's Bay near the Esplanade, where I ate more yummilicious food. Fried Oyster pancake, I think, was brilliant. I don't like the oysters, I only like the egg. XD Haven't managed to eat that since the beginning of this year. But then squeezing a couple of meals altogether had its toll on me. I didn't manage to eat the Char Kuey Teow (sp? ^^;;) It tasted kinda weird... I don't know whether it was the leave packaging or the vegetables. o-o
It was a great coincidence when the moment we found a place to sit down, we witnessed the rehearsal for National Day Parade. It started a little discreetly, the helicopters carrying the national flag weren't noticed that easily because they were rather soft, but once you feel the presence of a huge something that is right above you, you'll have the sense to look up to see the helicopters and the flag. lol, the flag was so huge XD.
Then the flight formations proceeded, and the cannon stuff. The first shot totally freaked everyone out. While looking into the distance to see whether anymore of those fighter jets are coming this way, you hear this sudden "BANG!" and everyone jumped. Hahaha... It was amusing. More followed, of course. My bro said that there's probably 21 shots in total.
After the food, we had yet another coincidence. The rehearsal had ended and when we decided (in the spur of the moment) to go out of the Esplanade building where the fountain thingy is, we saw the army vehicles heading back to headquarters. It was so cool. ^-^ We got to see the tanks, artillery and all those.
And strangely enough, the area where the Supreme Court was had this loud music blasting, and those spotlights you see in the 60s shining into the night sky. I've never seen those type of spotlight in action before, when you look into the night sky, you can actually see this line of light, and it's so nice to watch when they move.
Understand now why my bad mood got totally destroyed?
