don't get too comfortable with your surroundings

...because you never know what actually lurks within the shadows, partially obscured. Who knows, it may actually decide to crawl out so that you can have a really good look at it.

Hm... why does that sound like something out of a horror movie? Ah... I was referring to those pesky black/brown/whatever coloured insects. They really bug me. (Pun not intended)

I mean, why can't they leave me alone at 0520 hours in the morning when I'm half asleep, trying very hard to swallow my food because my system has not started yet, and dreading the coming day? I already have trouble managing without having to swat persistent (and slightly drugged-looking) flies away from my breakfast and worrying about cockroaches on the loose in the kitchen, as well as creepy more-than-an-inch-an-a-half-long crawly insects that made it's presence known while I was changing in the bathroom.

And it is not funny to carry your toothbrush to the kitchen (while brushing your teeth) because you want to avoid the big crawly insect that is somewhere (god knows where exactly it is right now) in the bathroom, and to stop right in the middle of the kitchen when alarm bells go off in your head, and you go

... isn't there supposed to be a cockroach somewhere on the kitchen floor?

And you run back to the bathroom, because the crawly insect is perhaps, after all, better to face than the disgusting cockroach.

I cannot stand large insects. Especially. Cockroaches.

Wait. Are cockroaches insects?
